REINFORCING STEEL INSPECTIONS

Inspections to confirm code and construction document compliance. Size, number, and placement of reinforcing bars are documented, including grade of steel, laps, and clearances to form, ground, or top surface.

ICC and C&C of Honolulu Certified

CONCRETE INSPECTIONS AND TESTING

Inspections to confirm code and construction document compliance. Mix design and delivered properties of concrete are documented. Placement methods are inspected to ensure concrete that is deposited and finished conforms to the code and job requirements. If appropriate, concrete field sampling and testing are performed, including slump, air content, unit weight, and flow. Concrete field strength samples are made, including, as needed, concrete cylinders or flexural beams. Laboratory curing and testing of concrete strength samples occur as needed.

ICC, ACI and C&C of Honolulu Certified

MASONRY INSPECTIONS AND TESTING

Inspections to confirm code and construction document compliance. Block and reinforcing steel placement inspections, including size and type of block, spacing of bond beams and pilasters, size and number of reinforcing steel members, and placement and clearance of reinforcing steel. Field sampling of grout and mortar, construction of testing prisms, and sampling of high-strength grout in cube molds. Laboratory curing and testing of grout, mortar, cube, and prism samples.

ICC, ACI, and C&C of Honolulu Certified

WELDING INSPECTIONS AND TESTING

Inspections to confirm conformance with building code, welding code, and project documents. Field and shop welding, fit-up, and materials conformance. Field testing of structural steel including Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle, and Dye Penetrant. Certification of welders.

AWS, ICC, and C&C of Honolulu Certified

SOILS INSPECTIONS AND TESTING

Field observations of excavation and embankment. Inspections to confirm conformance with the building codes, project documents, and soils reports. Field testing of soil compaction. Laboratory testing of soils and aggregates for bulk properties and conformance with required AASHTO and ASTM requirements.

ASPHALT INSPECTIONS AND TESTING

Field observations of asphalt placement. Inspections to confirm conformance with building codes and project requirements. Confirmation of mix delivery tickets, placement, and rolling temperatures, compaction, and lift thickness.  Laboratory testing of mix properties, including density, AC content, moisture, flow, and stability.

SPECIALTY TESTING AND INSPECTIONS

Pull testing. Schmidt Hammer and Windsor Probe testing to estimate concrete compressive strength.  Pachometer location of reinforcing within hardened concrete.

STRUCTURAL FRAMING INSPECTIONS

Inspections of structural framing, including complete load path, uplift systems, and sheathed shear walls and diaphragms.

QUALITY ASSURANCE SYSTEMS

Design and implementation of custom, owner-side Quality Assurance programs. Programs confirm that Owners/Developers are receiving the contract-required levels of quality.

QUALITY CONTROL SYSTEMS

Design and implementation of contractor quality control programs. Programs allow contractors to prove, during construction, that they are providing the contract-required levels of quality.

Provide and field implementation of the patented and trademarked Quality Built inspection and documentation system. Meets most insurance-mandated quality assurance systems for multi-family residential and single-family residential construction projects.
